McFarlan was on the business’s property when he heard a suspicious noise. He discovered a white or Hispanic male wearing a hooded sweatshirt forcing his way into a gate. A fight ensued and the suspect was able to escape by scaling another business’s concertina wire fence. Chief Frank Strickland, two Spalding County deputies, a State Probation Officer, and the available Griffin police officers responded to assist. A perimeter was set-up and a search was conducted. The suspect’s identity is unknown at this time. But was believed to the cut from the Concertina Wire on the Fence.
