The Griffin City Commissioners Will Meet Tuesday
Night at 6;00 in the meeting room of the City Offices downtown. During
the meeting the Commissioners will Recognize Meghan Beaton as June
2010 Employee of the Month. and will recognize Larry
Fears upon his retirement from the Griffin Fire Department.
During
the Meeting the Commissioners will also Consider approval to declare certain
assets surplus and post for public sale on Gov Deals.com
Consider
submission of a letter to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA)
approving the de-obligation of a portion of the City of Griffin-Spalding
County Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Grant funding which was
awarded on March 27, 2009. Consider submittal of a 2010 HUD
Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant application to the Atlanta
Regional Commission (ARC).
Consider approval of the Georgia Main Street Program Memorandum of
Understanding that is required of every Main Street Program operating in the
State of Georgia.
Consider approval of a professional services
agreement with Fraysier Appraisal Services, Inc. for the right of way
easement appraisals on Project BRSTL-2517-00(001) Spalding County, P.I. No.
343460 - 6th Street Bridge replacement.
Consider approval for the Griffin Police Department to accept the
2009-2010 (JAG) Justice Assistance Grant fund in the amount of $22,748.00.
Consider approval to award bid to three (3) low bidders, Spirit
Electric, Lance Electric and Miller Electrical Services, Inc., for certified
electricians to perform electric meter base repair work on as-needed basis as
AMI Project is implemented.
Consider approval of the engagement letters for audit services with
Mauldin & Jenkins, Certified Public Accountants (independent auditors) for the
City of Griffin.
Consider approval of a Resolution directing termination of
participation in the Georgia Municipal Association 457(B) Deferred
Compensation Plan, the Georgia Municipal Association 401(A) Defined
Contribution Plan and Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Inc.
