REGULAR SCHEDULED MEETING CITY OF GRIFFIN BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILL BE TUESDAY AT 6PM AT100 SOUTH HILL STREET.

The Griffin City Commissioners will met Tuesday Night at 6 pm in the meeting room at 100 South Hill Street. during the meeting the Commissioners will consider approval of a Proclamation recognizing Saturday, February 13, 2010 as Arbor Day in the City of Griffin.  The Commissioners will Receive comments regarding the adoption of the City of Griffin Comprehensive Plan Partial Update 2009. The Commissioners will also receive comments regarding the West Griffin Activity Center Livable Center’s Initiative (LCI) Study prepared by Pond and Company.  They will also receive comments regarding the amended Downtown Griffin & North Hill Street Redevelopment Plan / Tax Allocation District #1.        Consider adoption, by Resolution, of the City of Griffin Comprehensive Partial Plan Update.  Consideration will be given for approval of a request for recommended changes to the Griffin Main Street Program Advisory Board Policy. Consider approval to purchase a 2005 Ford Expedition from Speedway Ford to be used by the Griffin Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, in the amount of $13,618.00, which will be paid from the Police Department (State) Asset Forfeiture Fund.   Consider approval to declare surplus and advertise for sale on Gov Deals, the listed vehicles which have been seized by the Griffin Police Department and awarded to the Department by Spalding County Superior Court through asset forfeiture.  Monies received through the sale of the vehicles will be restricted to the State Asset Forfeiture Account.  Consider approval to purchase from ITT Water & Wastewater USA, Pumps for Shoal Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in the amount of $21,022.00.  Consider approval of a Contract and Resolution for the acquisition of Right of Way for Federal and State Aid Project BRSTL-2517-00(001), Spalding County, CS 797/SIXTH ST, P.I. NO. 343460, locally known as 6^th Street Bridge.
