Open Letter from Griffin Board of Education Chairman Raymond Ray in Relation to our Children returning back to school.  

Ladies and Gentlemen of Spalding County,

Monday, August 4th 2008 will be the opening day of all Griffin-Spalding County Schools. On behalf of our students, staff and Board of Education, we request each vehicle operator, slow down and be watchful of students walking to and from their schools.  Additionally, please be patience as carpools and school buses pick-up and drop off their precious cargo during this school year.

The start of the school year is exciting for our students, where their attention may not be where it should be, therefore extra care and slower speeds are requested around school zones and bus loading points. It takes us all to raise a child safely……….. Thank you
