SPALDING COUNTY GRADUATES EIGHT IN LEADERSHIP
GRIFFIN/SPALDING CLASS OF 2008
Spalding County is very pleased to announce that eight
County employees were included in the Presentation of Graduates for the
Leadership Griffin/Spalding Class of 2008 on May 8, 2008. The fourteen
most recent graduates included from Spalding County: Mr. Jake Garner, Mr.
Louis Greene, Ms. Syble Jones, Ms. Barbra Leonard, Mr. Willie Lewis, Ms.
Cindy Mangham, Ms. Kyri Reid and Mr. Jimmy Sikes. Graduates were
recognized at a reception hosted by the Griffin/Spalding Chamber of
Commerce. Mr. Craig Frank, Chairman of the Leadership Griffin/Spalding
Program, extended his appreciation and best wishes to the 2008 graduates.
The Leadership curriculum focuses on four areas: education, industry,
government and health care. These leaders concentrate on the effective,
efficient, synergies found in each area with presentations and on-site
visits to different locations, and they are required to research various
agencies and present findings to the staff. These leaders reap the
benefits of many varied and knowledgeable facilitators and presenters
along the way. Leadership Griffin/Spalding is offered only once a year
and, since its inception in 1993, more than 250 local leaders have
graduated the curriculum. Anyone interested in attending the Class of 2009
should contact the Spalding County Chamber of Commerce at 770-228-8200.
Spalding County Chairman Edward Goss, Jr. noted, “Spalding County
employees are some of the most dedicated public servants in Georgia; our
employees always go above and beyond what is expected, and this program is
indicative of their desire to excel.” Spalding County Commissioner Eddie
Freeman stated that he, too, is “very proud of these Spalding County
employees.”
