Transition Fair to be held for Students with Disabilities and 2009 SWD graduates are also invited

 

A fun and informational session on college and other post-secondary opportunities will be held for students with disabilities (SWD) on Thursday, March 11, from 5:30-7:30pm.  

The event, which will be held at Spalding High School, will include a light meal for participants. Current 6th – 12th grade students with disabilities are invited to attend with their parents. Students who graduated in 2009 who were enrolled as SWD are also invited to attend. 

This fair will include information on:

• education,

• job training,

• military service,

• local community resources and more.

There will also be information on self-advocacy. Qualified students interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP with their case manager. Organizations interested in being a vendor should contact Greg Deluzio at Gregory.deluzio@gscs.org.
